Lena Dunham is an American actress, writer and director. She has directed the film Tiny Furniture and is the creator of the TV series Girls.

Dunham was born on May 13, 1986, in New York City. She has attended Saint Ann's School, where she met Jemima Kirke (more about Kirke here).

Her film Tiny Furniture has won Best Narrative Feature at the South by Southwest Music and Media Conference. In this film, Lena plays the character Aura. Her TV series Girls premiered on April 15, 2012 Dunham has also had a cameo in the film Supporting Characters.
