Giannis Ploutarxos is a popular Greek singer and songwriter.

He was born on December 18th, 1970, in a village near the city Orhomenos. At the age of sixteen, he decided to go to Athens to try to be a singer. At first, he would sing in a small music hall, without good conditions. Disappointed with that, he abandoned the music business and tried to make a living with other professions. Nevertheless, he got back to singing and now has a lot of fans and is considered one of the most popular laïco (Greek type of music) singers of his time, having released 11 albums, along with one of greatest hits.
