Missed last week events on Stardoll? Well here I come, to present them to you and, as usual, give my opinion on each. Ready? Here I go!
The star of week was marked by another Hot Buys Retro collection.
Not many have expected another re-release of hotbuys. I can only imagine the anger of users who spent much money, time and patience for their collections, only to get them re-released and losing their value. And is Stardoll gonna keep up with re-releasing HotBuys? If that happens, I see many members selling their valuable pieces, and as there are going to be really many, they would have to sell them for quite lower prices. It will ruin collectors, resellers, and the only ones who will benefit will be the newer members. I see lots of things Stardoll does for new members, not caring much about their long playing members. And I do not like that.
On 3rd day of the week (Wednesday), a surprising new feature was added.
So from now on, Superstar and Royalty members get to see basically anything and everything their friends do on Stardoll. A "Stalker bar", as one person from comment named it. I really don't want people to know I bought or sold stuff, sent a broadcast, sent gift, etc. It is annoying and completely unnecessary. Yeah, I said in previous post we need some updates, but not like this one, which btw, just came out of nowhere - no starblog post or spoilers of any kind. So it seems it has been rushed.
What we really need updates on? How about getting to know who actually voted us, our album, yearbook, etc, and who just spammed us with generic message. Agreed?
Moving on. The same day, after we saw it on spoilers, new suite rooms got added, this time named "Yacht Club"
The items are nice, suite is okay, but everyone agrees that prices are way over the top. 80 stardollars for a pool or helicopter?? Seriously?? Yeah, it looks good, but still not worth it. And do we really need another suite rooms? It is hard enough to decorate ordinary rooms already. We, though, really need is, - did Stardoll read my previous post intro? Not gonna repeat it here.
On Thursday, Megastar package was offered to us, Stardoll members.
It is the same as usual Megastar packages we used to get. Now some Stardoll members think it is a waste of money, as they are not sure whether they'll be members for another year. I plan on staying, but not gonna spend that much money. Gifts we get are okay, but anyone agrees that, with offers like this one, we should get a limited edition quality clothes, not just 'ordinary' ones?
On Friday, all users who like to dress their dolls in goth/punk way, or just like to experiment with different styles (like me), got a nice surprise - a new Fallen Angel collection.
Items are really nice, the colors, shapes, and even prices may seem a bit high to you, take a visit to real brand stores and get back here to grab some nice items. Or wait for sale, if you don't really need them at the moment, they hopefully won't leave the plaza without warning. I really love dresses, and it was about the time Fallen Angel store got updated.
On Sunday (yeah, I know we don't get usually any updates on weekends, but read on ), Fever store finally got a sale, after a few days of announcing it.
The store has been up for like a month, but it didn't seem much popular, as the items are just plain and boring, with some cute pieces though. Not gonna miss it, but I'm still grabbing few items. Hopefully new, better store will take it's place.
